^Yes, I love to read them. I think it's not written bad, but you have people with their own opinion about it! ;)

Gilberth Keith Chesterton "The man who was Thursday"

It is hard to tell what is it exactly about. At the beginning I was like "WTF" and near the end, when I thought that I understand everything I get totally confused again.
It begins in the park where spy- poet Saims meets the poet from anarchist movement and gets involved in this movement, where all the main people had the pseidonyms of the days. He gets elected as Thursday and it turns out that the organisation is planning a terror act- to blow up all Paris. The main person is Sunday from whom everyone fears, because he has the ability to embody everyones fear. Saims is trying to stop this terror act and in his journey turns out that all the members of the organisation are spies who think that they are the only ones and try to kill each other. But in the end starts biblical alegories and things like that and all turns to metaphysical mash. With banal ending- Mr Saturday turns out to be (Guess, who?)- God.

I'm reading The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde at the moment; saw the play in a theatre before and I just love it, it's so witty.

^ I know, right! It's absolutely brilliant - all his plays are, but this one stands out. I love Algernon painfully much. <3

@t: I read The Masque Of Red Death by E. A. Poe yesterday, it's a short story - and really good, I have to say. I have never read much of Poe's stuff, except The Raven, but I'm pleasantly surprised. After the exams I will probably get some more of his short stories.

^ Jack: You are quite perfect, Miss fairfax.
Gwendolen: Oh! I hope I am not that. It would leave no room for developments and I intend to develop in many directions.

I love that quote, it's so cheeky.

Finally finished Kushiel's Dart again, don't know why it took me so long this time, is one of my fav books, but didn't feel much like reading this past month.

About to start The Shadow Rising, book 4 in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, actually looking forward to it, brilliant series. :D

I'm reading a book by Marek Karpiński called (in translation) "The world's oldest profession. History of prostitution". Pretty interesting angle to look at the world's history.

Just finished Howl's Moving Castle and while the film is similar to the book there are major differences plotwise. I
I liked the book, it was an easy read for entertainment though the language was quite simple. But then again, that
was what I was looking for.

I've read about one third of the Hobbit today, have been wanting to re-read it for ages, read it in highschool for english when my english wasnt too great yet so I understood half. ;) Now, it's quite an easy read, and am glad I've read it before the film comes out.

My book of the moment: The Bloody Chamber, by Angela Carter

It's a rewriting of old French fairytales such as Blue Beard, The Little Red riding Hood, The Beauty and the Beast, Puss in Boots, but in a much crueler and darker modern style.

I've already been fond of fairytales, and this book is truly captivating.

^ I have wanted to read for a while, but I couldn't find it anywhere here. Blah.

@t: I read Terry Pratchett's Nation, an amazing book and an amazing proof of the fact that he can write much more than just humorous fantasy, I definitely recomend to everyone. And now my friend borrowed me the first book of Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling, Luck in the Shadows, and I'm so so addicted. I missed reading fantasy all the time. :D
