The Story of My Experiments with Truth - Mahatma Gandhi. It was initiated at the insistence of Swami Anand and other co-workers of Gandhi for him to explain the background of public campaigns.

^Ugh, I hated that one. I hate every Anne Rice book I've ever read that's Mayfair Witches books. Vampire Chronicles are more my thing.

Since I can't get my hands on the second part of Nightrunner series, I started re-reading Sapkowski's The Witcher. I love that series so so much. :D Just finished The Blood of Elves and started the second part, Times of Contempt.

Finished the book about history of prostitution, that I mentioned somewhere before. It had some interesting fragments, but generally was rather boring. But it had pictures

Since then I've read Marek Krajewski's book Erynie (Erinyes). It's a crime story that takes place in 1939 in Lviv. He wrote before the whole series taking place in Breslau before and during WWII, which happens to be my city. And it was so cool to read about places and streets I know, where some buildings still stand there and some were destroyed or have completely other functions than they used to. So I was afraid I might not like the Lviv book so much, but I did. He's the master of creating this specific atmosphere of underground world of crime from the first half of 20th century. There are also elements of totally gross deviances in his boks, but in this one it was pretty light for him.

Now I'm hunting for the 3rd book of True Blood series in english, and have also plans of buying the parody of Twilight, I think that might be pretty cool :P

I am currently reading "Steppenwolf" by H. Hesse. And I am positively suprised, because I did not like his early works and the sense of romantism movement in them, but this and "Demian" seems different.

Is there no way you can order it online? I checked and my local online shop has it in english for just 8 euros, and it doesn't have very rare books, surely there's something like it? I checked and it will deliver to your country.. for almost 17 euros delivery costs, that's insane!
Or do what I did the times I couldn't find a book.. have your local bookstore order it, if it's a larger chain of bookstores it usually will do such a thing.

^ Ah I should have been more concrete. My friend has the books, but she is reading them, she just borrowed me the first part since she already finished reading that one. I will get the others, eventually, just have to be patient. Which is a problem with me and good books.

^
I hate borrowing books. I tend to damage books very much when I read them, so I prefer to have my own, so I don't have to be careful with them and can take them with me in my i-can-destroy-everything-that's-inside-me bag
The only person I borrow books from is my bf, and since he respects books so much and wants them to be all pretty and looking as new, it's torture to be so careful with them.

^ Aw, and I'm the complete opposite - I rarely ever buy books. Libraries are my second home, and I'm lucky enough to have a friend who loves fantasy a lot, so we share books. :D

I finished "Steppenwolf" by H. Hesse. And, actually, I am positively suprised- the ending was so gorgeous- the scene with Hermines dead body, Mozart and Harry... I did not expect it from Hesse.

And now I started to read E. Hemingway`s "Farewell to arms".

I'm currently reading (and almost done with) To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I have seen the book mentioned by so many people, so I picked it up the second I spotted it in library, and I wasn't disappointed. Maybe it's not the kind of book I'd start reading, unable to stop, but still it's very good.
