a member of slovak parliament calling homosexuality a disease that should be treated, because we have enough psychiatrists to treat gay people. also he said that the society acts as gay people didn't need help (from said psychiatrists), while they do. and then the head of his party said that he won't ask the member of parliament to leave because everyone is entitled to have their opinion and why do people actually are angry because of that opinion and why do people want to sue the guy?

You see, the problem is that many psychiatrists never have the humility to say "stage of our research we believe that", false information placed in the hands of society is dangerous. Theories may change and that's life, Scientifics even every people learn every day. Why not to admit it?

But also, after all, the soul has no sex, and a true and reciprocal relationship makes you happy, so you don’t need psychiatrist or these bitter theories, mirror of obsession of what they call “normality”.

^ oh psychiatrists have nothing to do with that - i mean, they never said anything about homosexuality being a disease. it's just the member of the parliament who gets ideas from middle ages. and i feel personally offended that no action was taken. a public figure like a politician should not speak like that. not in a modern country that Slovakia is ( or should be).

re: above mentioned member of parialment. today he announced he is not going to apologise because it's his opinion that gay people are ill. also he wishes we were more like Russia who banned their Pride (and he also mentioned that European Union's protest about the ban was, in his words, "hysterical"). ugh, i just, i should not care but it pisses me off so much. people like that make me sick.
