Cruelty and the Beast
...my no. I only really got into Lustmord and Wargasm on that album, though I could listen to Beneath the Howling Stars from time to time. Though I agree that Nymphetamine was better than Damnation and a Day, that was just 80 minutes of the same song!
I much prefer the Principles of Evil Made Flesh...and Total Fucking Darkness. I don't want them to convert back to their old sound, but they shouldn't just spend a week in the recording studio and pump out an album like that. I liked most of the guitar riffs, but the problem was that they'd always put two guitar riffs together that didn't belong. It sounded like the rythem and lead were playing two different songs!
But anyway, I'm not mocking you for the Cruelty thing...that was my first CoF cd anyway. I just laugh whenever someone (including myself) mentions that album, because that is CoF's least favorite album. That cd is like Nirvana's "Smells like Teen Spirt" album...or whatever album that was on...can't remember. They hate it because it did so well and gave the recognition. I think that it is great that people's favorite album is the bands least favorite album...which actually makes me want to change my favorite album to that....but I won't.
