The movie actually misses out most of the worst parts of the book, so your mum should have forbid the book not the movie! Still a good read but not for the faint hearted or the easily offended.

I just finished "The Sailor on the Seas of Fate", 3rd tome of the Elric saga by Michael Moorcock. I didn't like all that much the first two parts, and when I started to read this one... it's divided to 3 chapters, and I didn't like the 1st one (though the idea might be found interesting), but the rest of the book was awesome. I loved it. Can't wait to start next volume.

Today I borrowed Andreas Búr Majster by J.C.Hronský to read it again. I love that book so much, even though it isn't ~easy reading. Which is probably why people never read it, too (and it's by an author who actually made it to textbooks about literature, so it just has to be bad). That sucks. Oh well, why am I rambling about it here, it was never translated anyway.

Am re-reading Juliet Marilliers Sevenwaters Trilogy. I love this, if you like stories that take place in England/Ireland around the time when Christianity just set in, but told from the point of view of someone still following the old faith, with lots of folklore mixed in.. read this. Always make me cry these books too, they're so emotional. Looooove them.

Oh and that book by John Ajvide Lindquist seems a good one, think I might have to read it in english then, since it doesnt say anywhere if it's translated into dutch already. If the original language is english I prefer that, but reading a swedish book translated to english seems foolish. Still. ;)

Maybe today I'll get the last book of Saga of Darren Shan. In the meantime I was so bored I started to read Harry Potter books. I am so going insane.
