Hey admins, this was just an idea and wanted to see what everyone thought. It might work, it might not. I was thinking having a topic about diet tips, ways to loose weight and support from everyone which always helps. If you were using differet diets, previous experiences ect. What does everyone think? Sorry if it doesn't work but it was worth a say :)

Hi HannahPockett,

If you want I begin the thread with a very very bad tip: I lost ten pounds when I began to smoke, but between us, if you don't smoke, please never begin!!!

By philosophical principle I'm vegetarian, but I would'nt want to promote this diet only just to loose weight. If you rush on cakes for example : it's not sure you're going to see a result :| , but something is sure, you suppress, with a diet without meat (or with less meat) very bad fat.

It's a good idea actually. As long as there's no judgement over weight size. I've seen girls and guys who may look bigger or maybe showing some bone but are happy with the way they look and are generally healthy people yet they still get called names.

Obv they may also be people who might want to gain weight so let them have a say too.

Personally diets don't work for me (I tend to stay the same weight regardless), but I do want to eat more healthy and exercise more (the latter is my worst). I'm actually gonna join a zumba class with my sis, as I've heard many have benefited from it and it's fun!

As for advice, if you are gonna attempt a diet/change in your lifestyle, research and ask gp's/doctors for info. The body is a fragile thing so always think before you act. One of my mate's tried the atkins diet one year. She ended up collapsing from it as her body could not handle the lack of certain requirements. She's fine though and eventually found a diet and plan that suited her.

i'll change the title to health tips though, so we can pass info/stories of many healthy lifestyles, such as food, types of exercise, face creams, tanning, classes, stretch pants, gok freeking wan etc etc.

diets never work for me because i have no patience with those. but recently i've changed my lifestyle and i did lose weight so yay. basically, my changes include always eating breakfest, limiting eating candy and such for before noon, normal lunch and not so much for dinner (usually no meat, lots of vegetable and such). and i drink only water or unsweetened tea, but i don't like the sweet beveraged much. but then again, i do have days when i eat irregularly or such, but it's not that good. yesterday i was at mcdonald's and ever since i feel slightly sick-ish. can it be because of the mcdonald's food, does anyone know? i didn't use to be sick from it before.

anyway, tigga, zumba is fun! i loved it. (but then they cancelled it and when i moved, i didn't start attending any classes again because i'm a wimp and i don't want to go alone.)

Zumba's really fun! And the best part about it is that it doesn't feel like exersice is just feels like you are having fun with a group of friends. I used to do it every week!.

Also weight watchers. I'm on that now and started 3 days ago and in that time iv just eatten healthy and stuck to the weight watchers points programm and I have already love just over 3 pounds :) It is really good! you can enjoy nice food but still loose weight! :)

i've heard a lot of good things from people doing weight watcher's...same with zumba, but you're probably gonna have to like dancing to do it....

i myself do zero for losing or gaining weight right now...i've never felt that it makes a difference if i go on a diet or not...my body is a bit weird with that...it responds to hormone changes mostly...
but looking at myself, my body could be worse so there's not really a need to lose weight

i'm trying to eat more healthy though...i just feel more comfortable in my body when i eat more vegetables, fruits, good meat, etc....it's expensive though

A cream made with shea butter is really excellent for dry skin, I see a big difference.

^ I love buying beauty products, but I find they're not actually any better. I think you can't beat good old fashioned olive oil.

And I didn't enjoy zumba that much, I have much more fun putting on my own music and then doing my own crazy dance moves. It's a heaps better work out!
